Hello International Students!

Are you interested in trying a completely new sport?
We have an exciting opportunity for you!
Our local touch rugby team, Scambio di Lingue, is organizing an open training session exclusively for ESN students on Sunday, October 20th, and we'd love for you to join us!

Never heard of touch rugby? No worries—no prior experience or knowledge is needed!

Concerned that rugby is a violent sport? While traditional rugby can be rough, TOUCH RUGBY is a safe, non-contact version. The tackle is replaced with a gentle touch to any part of the body, making it a fun and inclusive sport that men and women of all ages can enjoy together.

Our hosts from Scambio di Lingue (which means "Language Exchange") are a diverse group of Italians and international students and workers living in Padova. They compete in the Italian National Touch Rugby Championship and organize this event every year for ESN students, completely free of charge, to introduce this fantastic sport to Padova's newest arrivals.

After the event, there will be drinks and snacks for those who wish to stay and chat with our hosts. A contribution of €5 (cash) will be required to participate.

If you enjoy the sport and would like to continue playing, you'll also receive information about how to join Scambio di Lingue and attend their weekly training sessions during the 2024/25 season.

WHAT TO BRING?
Wear regular sports clothing, including trainers. If you have football boots with studs, feel free to bring them, but they're not mandatory.
Please note: Showers will not be available on this occasion.
